Q: What kind of work do you focus on?
A: Backend APIs and systems, mobile apps (Flutter and React Native), and full stack web — TypeScript and Python primarily. I have a hardware and networking background too, so IoT and embedded-adjacent work is something I understand at a deeper level than most software engineers.
Q: Are you open to contract or freelance work?
A: Yes. I have been doing contract and freelance work since 2021 alongside full-time roles. I can start immediately and I work well with remote teams across time zones.
Q: Do you consult on architecture or technical direction?
A: Yes. Currently doing this as Head of Engineering at Yonko — setting roadmap, enforcing architecture standards, and coordinating across frontend, backend, and AI teams. Open to advisory or fractional CTO engagements for early-stage startups.
Q: What is your preferred stack?
A: TypeScript with NestJS or Express on the backend, PostgreSQL or MongoDB depending on the data shape, Flutter for mobile, Next.js for web frontends, Docker and GitHub Actions for infrastructure. I pick tools that fit the problem, not the other way around.
Q: You have an EEE degree — are you purely software now?
A: My degree is in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and I take it seriously. I have worked on IoT systems, sensor integration, and have hands-on experience with electronics, solar installation, and inverter systems. That background makes me a stronger engineer — I understand what software is actually controlling.
